'G' Is for Gun

A proposed Utah law permitting concealed handguns in schools--so long as the principal knows who's packing--has made odd bedfellows out of statewide PTAs and the local NRA chapter. Both object to the measure, but for opposite reasons. The PTA thinks any law allowing guns in schools is "outrageous"; the NRA wants the law unrestricted. Most Utah residents side with the PTA, and will try to settle the matter with a Nov. 7 referendum to ban all guns from schools.
